Aida Turturro & Ingrid Lemme
Aida Turturro
Aida Turturro, HBO's 'Janice Soprano' was surrounded by people in the audience and fans who had come to meet her in person at Gurney's Inn where the American Dreams shows are filmed. We never would have thought that a star like Aida could be nervous, but she was, and at the same time, so down to earth and easily approachable.
Ingrid asked her about her family heritage and we all found out that Aida really has nothing in common with the role for which she received an Emmy nomination. Aida is probably best known for playing Janice Soprano, sister of New Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano, on the HBO TV series The Sopranos. She has also appeared in a number of films including; Sleepers, What About Bob, Jersey Girl, Deep Blue Sea, Mickey Blue Eyes and Bringing Out the Dead. She made her film debut opposite Geena Davis in the film, "Angie." Aida was asked to appear on April 11 (the same day of the filming of the American Dreams Show) on a national TV station about the final episode of the Sopranos and Aida said 'NO!' because of her promise to appear on the American Dreams Show.
