Ed learned at an early age that it was as much fun to play music as it was to understand the business of music. Trained in Classics at 10, performing rock and roll at 13, and managing bands at 19, Ed has always tried to combine his love for business and the arts. He gained a business major and music minor from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA in 1980 where he was Choir Director and acoustic guitar player for the school’s production of Tommy. After one year at Delaware Law School, he decided that self-study of the law in New York City would make it easier to follow his 2 passions. In 1981 he began work as a session musician and opened a business as a trial paralegal. He worked for many attorneys and firms and spent years as Trial Paralegal to a private practice litigator who had been Chief of Trials for NYC’s District Attorney’s Office.

Ed continued to read the law on his own, passed the Bar Exam on the first try and Heopened his own litigation law firm in 1985. He has since represented thousands of individuals and businesses in the fields of entertainment, intellectual property, personal injury, real estate, contracts, labor, civil rights, animal, bankruptcy and consumer credit law. Sections of several of his winning appellate briefs have been quoted and published. He has tried hundreds of cases in New York’s State and Federal Courts against individuals and corporate giants alike including Ford, Equifax, and General Motors. Clients have included Denis Leary, Judy Gold, Jim David, and Brittany Spears. Ed is Corporate Counsel for companies in the fashion, medical, banking, music, and music distribution industries. He performs copious pro bono work and is a Member of the Board of dance companies, theatre groups, and consumer advocacy groups.

Still a professional musician, Ed serves as musical director for awards shows and special events, has scored for dance performance, industrial films, and commercials, and has done commercial and political voice-overs. He has been a session bass player, guitar player and composition arranger for more than 20 years and a member of countless live performance groups, including SRO, Hundred Proof, and Freddie's Doughnuts Musedy Revue Featuring the Fabulous Dancing Doughnut Holes. A self-taught student of feng shui, Ed has been commissioned to create light, rock, water, sound and interior design installations for residences, offices, theatres and restaurants.

He lives year-round in Montauk with the love of his life, Pat, and their dogs, Monk, Freida, and Ba.
