| Mr Lomitola was
born in Linz, Austria. He came upon the world after his Austrian mother met and
married his American soldier father at the end of World War II. As a child
growing up in a military family, Mr Lomitola was exposed to the diversity of
cultures and languages in the course of the various assignments that were given
to his father throughout the world. At times living in Austria, Italy, Japan
and several states in the US, Mr Lomitola became enamored with visiting and
appreciating life in the US and other countries. |

While attending school in various locations
around the world, Mr Lomitola was fortunate to meet various people of different
ethnicities, traditions and backgrounds and develop friendships while at the
same time laying a firm foundation for a life of travel, adventure and culinary
appreciation.
After years of formal education that included studies in
Marine Biology, Mr Lomitola married Phyllis Montemarano in Montauk, New York in
1977 and made a career choice to go to work in her familys business,
Gurneys Inn Resort, Spa & Conference Center. While their goal was to
start a family, they spent the early years of their marriage travel to such
exotic locations as Australia, New Zealand &Tahiti as well as more
traditional destinations such as France (Brittany & Burgundy), Switzerland,
Lichtenstein and Austria. This was followed soon by the birth of their children
Jonathan (1982) and Nicole (1985), which slowed down the wanderlust for a few
years until the children started college. Once the empty nest
returned, John & Phyllis Lomitola began traveling anew with a special
emphasis placed on visiting some of the finest resorts with the best locations
coupled with outstanding cuisine.
During the course of the last few
years, John became involved with the start-up of a new company that would come
to challenge the current accepted methods of judging and rating lifestyle
products and services for the benefit of the public. This new company, The
American Dream Magazine©, dedicates itself to traveling the globe in
search of the finest that life has to offer. With its Seven Stars and
Stripes Global Awards system as a vehicle to bestow creditable
recognition upon the best resorts, restaurants, services and the like, the
company sets itself apart from the rest by rating only the best of the best in
each category. John is currently the Editor-in-Chief and Culinary Ambassador
for the magazine and has published many reviews and ratings in his own eloquent
and refined style on the web at
http://www.AmericanDreamMagazine.com for all to see.
Future articles to appear will include travelogues on the Galapagos
Islands, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Austria with plans for domestic travel
throughout the wine regions of California and New York with their accompanying
stories. |
