VITTORIO |

Mr. Vittorio is
the son of Michael J. and Catherine Vittorio. He is their middle child. He has
an older brother Nick and a younger sister, Elizabeth. Both his brother and
sister reside on Long Island with their families. Mr. Vittorio's parents
have been married for 55 years. His grandparents were all born in Italy and
emigrated to the United States just after the turn of the century. |

Mr. Vittorio was born in Brooklyn. His family moved to North
Massapequa in 1954. His mom and dad still live there today. He attended St.
Dominic's High School in Oyster Bay and was a graduate of Fairfield University
in Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics graduating in
1974.
He began his banking career as a teller in 1975 while attending
graduate school at night. He graduated from Long Island University's C.W. Post
Center in 1977 with a Master of Professional Studies. He attended The Stonier
School of Banking at the University of Delaware, graduating in
1994.
After starting as a teller with the Bowery Savings Bank, Mr.
Vittorio joined The Brooklyn Savings Bank as a Management Trainee. He stayed
with Brooklyn for five years. He became a Vice President and Branch Manager
with them in 1978. He then joined Chemical Bank in early 1981 where he received
his formal credit training. For most of his career, he worked with Chemical in
the Small Business and Middle Market areas. He joined The Chase Manhattan Bank
in 1989 as the Small Business/Commercial Division Executive for Long Island.
Based on his success in managing Long Island and Queens, he was given the
opportunity to manage the lower Middle Market area for Chase's tri-state
region. After the merger with Chemical Bank in 1996, Mr. Vittorio became the
Senior Small Business Credit Executive for heritage Chase with overall credit
responsibility in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Texas. After the
merger with J.P. Morgan, Mr. Vittorio was promoted to Senior Vice President. He
was given the responsibility to start a Commercial Insurance Brokerage business
for J.P. Morgan Chase's Retail Bank. He left J.P. Morgan Chase in July of 2002
to become an Executive Vice President with The First National Bank of Long
Island.
The First National Bank of Long Island is a plus 75 year-old
institution. It's assets approximate $800MM. It is an extremely strong
financial institution based on capital, assets, quality, and liquidity. It
presently has 21 branches located in Nassau and Suffolk counties. It will be
opening three new branches in Manhattan in and around June 1, 2003.
Mr.
Vittorio was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Corporation and the
Bank on February 18, 2003. He was elected President of both entities, effective
March 1, 2003. He came to The First of Long Island after nine years of an
on-and-off conversation with J. William Johnson, the Bank's Chairman and CEO.
Over that period, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Vittorio developed a friendship and
mutual respect that eventually led to Mr. Vittorio joining the Bank.
Currently, Mr. Vittorio is a Trustee of New York Law School and The
Metropolitan College (previously Audrey Cohen College). He is also a member of
The New York State Banker's Association's Education Committee. His previous
affiliations include serving as Vice Chairman and Trustee of The Education
Assistance Corporation and Chairman of The New York State Banker's
Association's Small Business Committee.
The most important thing to Mr.
Vittorio is his family. He and his wife Linda have been residents of Merrick
for over 20 years. His oldest daughter Jennifer is presently attending
Georgetown Medical School. His younger daughter Amy recently graduated from
Villanova University and is presently in The Global Clearing Services Training
Program at Bears Stearns. His son Michael is an Accounting Major presently
finishing his third year at Villanova. Mr. Vittorio and his wife have been
married for over 25 years. |
