| A leading cultural
and literary critic and specialist in Beat studies, Regina Weinreich introduced
and edited Jack Kerouac's Book of Haikus (Viking Press, 2003) and is the author
of Kerouac's Spontaneous Poetics (Thunder's Mouth, 2003), as well as numerous
articles and reviews published in The New York Times, Washington Post, Boston
Globe, Village Voice, San Francisco Chronicle, Entertainment Weekly, Talk
Magazine, The Paris Review and Five Points. |

She is co-producer/director of the documentary
film, Paul Bowles: The Complete Outsider which premiered at the first Hamptons
International Film Festival in 1993 and went on to film festivals in Seattle,
London, Montreal, Frankfurt, Jerusalem, and Minsk where it was awarded Grand
Prix for Best Documentary. Screened at the Museum of Modern Art and The
National Gallery of Art, the film has aired on the Sundance Channel. Regina
Weinreich currently teaches at The School of Visual Arts. |
