Rosanne De Luca Braun
American Dream Show Guest:
Rosanne De Luca Braun
Rosanne De Luca Braun was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where she attended St. Anselm's Elementary School and Fontbonne Hall Academy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Manhattanville College and a Master of Arts in Teaching English from Montclair State College
A high school English teacher and department chairperson for 10 years, Rosanne subsequently enjoyed a successful New York City-based career in advertising and marketing. When she moved to Long Island in 1992, she put her marketing skills to work for the Cinema Arts Centre, one of Long Island's primary non-profit arts organizations, where her combination of professional abilities, teaching skills and "movie love" ultimately propelled her into producing film festivals.
It was a relatively short hop from that into film production itself: two years ago, Rosanne originated, researched and developed an idea for a documentary film tracing the journey of Italian immigrants from outsiders to insiders in the American movie business. THE WORLD BEYOND THE WISEGUYS: ITALIAN AMERICANS AND THE MOVIES is currently in production, executive produced by award-winning actor/writer/director John Turturro and co-executive-produced by Rosanne De Luca Braun with Pacific Street Films.
