DANIEL POLLERA
Daneil Pollera, a Baldwin resident, was educated on Long Island. He studied Art at Farmingdale University and is basically a self taught artist and who has worked under under Everett Molinari, a mural artist and the current head of the National Mural Society. Inspired by such artist as Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth, Pollera paints in a realistic style. His paintings are crisp and has a photographic quality that capture a strong mood and a melancholy-like feeling. Using acrylics with a warm palette on board and drawing from personal life experiences, Pollera lures the viewer in with sharp. almost magical realism through a series of interesting compositions.
A member of the East End Arts Council in Riverhead and the Nassau County Art League, Dan Pollera has exhibited work at the Nassau County Museum of Art Annex, Rockville Centre Library, and the Fire House Gallery at Nassau Community College. His work has been purchase by many private and corporate collectors. Some of which include Real Estate Developer David Topping, South Nassau Hospital, P.C. Richard's and Sons, South Trust Bank Corp, Mobile Alabama and the Hudson Anglers Fishing Organization.

 
Dan has also been featured in some Roslyn Savings Bank branches and has created several paintings for their private collection including a 4' x 17' mural. He also assisted Frances Norris Streit to help paint a 14 by 30 ft. historical mural which is on display in the main branch of the Roslyn Savings Bank, Roslyn. His work has been in many publications including: "This Month on Long Island, "Dan's Paper", "Nassau Herald", "Boating World Magazine"," Long Island Fisherman", "Newsday" and "The New York Times". Dan's posters are presently published by Fairfield Publishing company in Manhattan. His limited editions are published by Coastal Publications and his marketing agent is Peter Lowenkron located in New York City. His prints are in numerous galleries throughout the country as well as some international distributors. Dan has gained national popularity as being one of the most successful coastal landscape artist in the poster industry. For the past several years, his original art works and reproductions have been sought after to grace the walls of boardrooms like IBM, the livingrooms of celebrities and many homes of lovers of nautical landscapes.
